 In recent years technology in the industry has advanced considerably and todays PVCu windows are far more energy-efficient. The double-glazed units are supplied with low-E solar glass as standard, with "Warm Edge" spacer bar and argon-filled cavities as optional. We can offer windows with a Window Energy Rating of "A" and an accompanying certificate endorsed by the Energy Savings Trust. Environmentally friendly materials are used in the manufacture of our PVCu frames to support the reduction in CO2 emissions and all the windows are 100% recyclable.

Our frames are available in traditional white, oak, rosewood or woodgrain finishes and Abbey Windows can also offer a colour-bonded or foiled finish in any British RAL colour of your choice. There are many styles available from a traditional chamfered finish closely resembling wooden windows, to a sleek contemporary version particularly well-suited to todays open-plan, minimalist lifestyle.

Abbey Windows can offer all these styles in traditional white, oak, rosewood or woodgrain and also colour-bonded in any British RAL colour of your choice.

Sliding Sash Windows
Extremely popular in our region of North Yorkshire, uPVC sliding sash windows allow you to have all the advantages of low-maintenance, energy-efficient windows whilst retaining a traditional appearance entirely in keeping with your period home. Our sliding sash windows are double glazed and come fitted with draught proof weatherseals ensuring that the elements and noise are kept out. Brass handles and security fittings are available, as are period touches like deep bottom rails and decorative horns. Georgian bars can be fitted inside the sealed unit for an easy-clean smooth surface or externally for a more authentic look.

Tilt and Turn Windows
The more contemporary Tilt and Turn window is rapidly becoming the number one choice of increasingly security and leisure-minded householders. And no wonder. Featuring multiple locking points as standard, their advanced design provides good security, even when in the open ventilation position, providing fresh air without draughts.
